hmm, I only get background then ... layer[name] then I'm lost ... is it supposed to be always multiply when I make layers?

One thing I'm curious is how the history works? cuz I want to delete the other [edit] i made but i can't seem to find it ... grrr I'm too lazy >_<

No layers?! Stop avoiding learning them already. >.< If you're too lazy, then at least consider this:
You have a scanned picture. You open it in your preferred graphics app (one that supports layers, of course) The image itself is already on its own layer, so see the layer list or menu for layer settings. Set the layer to 'multiply'. Now add a new layer from the menu, and move it below/under the original layer. Choose the new layer and start adding your colours like you usually do. That should be enough to prevent the colours going over the lines, so you can access all those sharp corners, and not leave gaps between colours and lines. Though I really recommend you start learning the layers. Just skip couple of drawings and use that time to Google and study layers. You'll get a lot out of that already.

GEH! I'm still using only the background ... How come I don't know how to use layers >_< I'm still MSPaint style in coloring lol.
